Trung Q. Duong  currently is an Assistant Professor (Lecturer) at Queen's University Belfast, UK. He received PhD degree in Telecommunications Systems from Blekinge Institute of Technology, Sweden in September 2012. He has been awarded the Best Paper Award at the 77th IEEE Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC) 2013, IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC) 2014, IEEE Global Communications Conference (GLOBECOM) 2016, IEEE Digital Signal Processing (DSP) 2017. 
His current research interests include:
          • small-cell networks, ultra-dense networks, HetNets 
        • physical layer security
        • massive MIMO, cell-free massive MIMO
        • caching and energy-harvesting communications  
He has published >270 technical papers (including 154 ISI journals and 124 conferences) in these topics. He is a Senior Member of IEEE. He is awarded the prestigious Royal Academy of Engineering (RAEng) Research Fellowship (2016 - 2021). His mentors and academic collaborators of this RAEng research fellowship are Prof. Lajos Hanzo and Prof. H. Vincent Poor
