2023 Summer Sing-Along and Campfire

The Seniors are inviting all the troops from SU 60-5 to join us at an end of the year sing-along and campfire. Our troop has the Lubber Run Fire Pit reserved on June 2 from 6-8 PM. Each troop is responsible for their own permission slips, scout-to-adult safety ratio, and s'mores supplies. We will lead is Girl Scout songs and provide a festive evening for all. Registered scouts only -- no siblings please due to insurance and liability issues. See flyer for additional details.

Senior Journey: Engineering

One scout participated in a full-day journey program at GSCNC Headquarters and copleted the Take Action with Senior scouts from a sister Troop in Service Unit 90-7 by running an engineering day for younger scouts.

The following is a slide deck called "What's on your plate?" by senior Girl Scout Helena C. from GSCNC, Service Unit 60-5, Troop 4467 in Arlington, Virginia. This presentation is part of a Take Action project in the Sow What Journey.

Troop 4467 hosted two events at GSCNC Camp Crowell March 2022

Still thinking about bird watching - Billy Goat Trail hiking - exploring an introduction to knitting - exploring invasive plant removal with Fairfax County - participating with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation waterways projects in 2023 - thinking seriously about international trips. But there is always more we can do ...!

Ready or Not,
Here We Come.

As safety precautions related to COVID-19 are still in effect, troop planning for meetings and events takes extra care and planning to follow the rules and make sure things are still fun.

The troop is exploring outdoor community service opportunities and ways to get together and stay apart.

We are happy to see some of our scouts moving on to things that are important to them outside of Girl Scouts and to welcome new or transferring scouts into out troop. We will find new ways to make new friends, but keep the old!
