6 How to do ?

Name an object

With the TRC system, you should name objects and triggers if you need to command several crossings in the same time or if you build your crossings with scenery-type objects. (see Materials )

The name must follow the format : X&Y, where

  • X is an integer value or a string of characters that must be common to all the objects or triggers of a same set

  • & is the separator between X and Y

  • Y is an integer between 1 and 100

Example :

  • a crossing 1&12 and its trigger 1&5

  • a another crossing 1&40 and its trigger 1&4

All these objects share the same value X=1, and will act jointly as soon as one of the triggers will detect a train (see the example at the bottom

of the page : TRC Système V4 ).

To name an object :

In the 'object' tab, select the icon 'object mode', clic on the question mark and on the object to name.

Enter the name of the object (for example 1&30) :

For a TRC trigger, do the same but select at first the 'track' tab and the 'trackside object' mode.

Customize your crossings

The TRC system is supplied with a large choice of crossings (see Matérials). You can also use any level crossing of other creators if thet are not yet scripted. This is the case of those of BNSF50 or Ryanstrains : they all refer to a script library written by Andi06 which is encrypted and calls some functions incompatible with the normal functionning of the TRC system.

Customizing the crossing should be very usefull in all the cases where 'classic' models don't fit.

Examples :

How to proceed :

Put on your tracks the 'invisible crossing' you need ; remember that the crossing object in T:ANE is only used as a 'traffic stopper' : in the example bellow only two invisible crossings are used.

On the contrary, you must place a TRC trigger on each track that leads to an intersection with the road.

Join the crossings with a road and place the gates (scenery-type)

Set the gates, using the same procedure as described in 'Name an object' . With the US crossings, you can adjust some options, like bell mode or the displaying of the sign 'Number of Tracks'

Set the triggers :

Customize your crossing : an exemple with UK old series

Put an invisible crossing on your route at the desired place ; connect the tracks and the roads .

Drop and drag a passage on the track : all TRC passages are of trakside object type.

Simply place the appropriate gates on the left and right side of the passage ; no connection with the other objects is required.

Finally, don't forget to put a TRC trigger and to configure it (see above : Name an object).

In this case, you will have to name, in addition to the trigger, the two gates and the invisible crossing.
