TRC System

Here's the fourth version of the TRC system.

It offers you a brand new feature: 'Automated Detection' of trains and the ultimate simplification of system implementation (see below and next page).

A quick reminder of the basic principles : What is TRC ?

TRC is the acronym of Trigger Rail Crossing.

What is it for ?

By default, Trainz closes a level crossing if there is a train approaching unless 200 meters. Then the crossing will reopen when the train will go away from more than 200 meters.

With Trainz :

With TRC :

With the TRC (Trigger Rail Crossing) system, you can easily manage all your crossings* and vary the closing distances of the barriers as you wish:

*System-compatible Crossings : all fixed track crosings that are not scripted or crossings specifically designed to be compatible with the TRC system.

You can also benefit from the 'Automated Detection' feature.

The system detects an approaching train within 1600 metres and, depending on the speed of the train, triggers the closure of the barriers at the right moment.

Other features :

With the TRC system you get access to a wide range of scenery objects that allow you to build any form of customized crossings.

And of course, all the models benefit from three levels of détails (LOD), and have been textured by means of Ray Tracing technic - there was no PBR at the time of their creation, but they look great -.

Due to their original configuration, the TRC crossings manage the traffic in a more realistic way. Thus, at the opening of the gates, you should avoid this :
