Warning: Some students who did good in midterm 1 may think the class is easy and take advantage of 2 different grading scheme to do bad in midterm 2. They may not prepare well for the final and end up failing the class. It did happen for other classes.
Midterm 2:
-4-5 problems in the test
-Extra problems: Random variables (solution), Binomial and Poisson distribution (solution),
-Sample tests: one, two, three, four, five, six
Final:
-10 problems in the test (~20 small questions). 2-3 hard problems (based on homework and problems taught in class), 2-3 rather hard problems, 4-6 moderate
-Samples: one (omit pr5), two, three, four,
-Some sample tests for midterm 2 also contain continuous random variable material.
-Problems in chapter 3 you should try: 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 34, 35.
