3 Days classic to Toubkal Ascent Trek The trek of choice for those who simply want to summit the highest mountain in North Africa, Jebel Toubkal 4167m. From Imlil we will take you directly up to the refuge for the night. An early start the next day, and you should summit Toubkal before lunchtime. After a second night at the refuge you will descend back to Imlil, enjoying the pleasant valleys and sense of accomplishment at having conquered this beautiful mountain. Note that due to the strenuous nature of this trek, and the fact that there is not much time to adjust to altitude, we recommend that you book the 4-day version if you have the time, especially in winter conditions.

Itinerary: 3 Day Mount Toubkal Guided Trek
DAY 1: MARRAKECH TO TOUBKAL REFUGE
Private driver pick up you from your hotel in Marrakech at around 8:00 am. Accompanied by an English-speaking guide, drive south up over gorges and high passes of the upper valleys to the Berber town of Imlil, 5700 feet above sea level (1740m). Here is where you leave your vehicle to take a welcome glass of mint tea in a staging house prior to setting out for a 2.5 mile (4 km) hike towards several Berber villages.
You will stop in the villages of Armed and Sidi Chamharouchin the Assif Ait Maizane Valley for some sight-seeing. The latter is set beside a picturesque waterfall and small stream. Take a break for a picnic within full view of mighty Jbel Toubkal. At over 13,600 feet (4167m), it’s the highest peak in the Maghreb. Your last stretch of the day takes you to your overnight accommodations, at the Toubkal Refuge at 10,500 feet (3207m).
DAY 2: TOUBKAL REFUGE – MT TOUBKAL – REFUGE TOUBKAL
Start your day with a climb up the highest peak in the North Africa, Mt Toubkal, then descend via the south circuit for a straightforward 2-3 hour descent back to the Refuge. In the afternoon, take a gentle hike southeast to the head of the Assif Ait Maizane Valley and Tizi n O’unoums. When ready, you will return to your overnight accommodation, at the Toubkal Refuge.
DAY 3: TOUBKAL REFUGE – IMLIL – MARRAKECH
Today it’s back up Mt Toubkal, then back down to camp, where you will have lunch before walking back down to Imlil for the pickup and the drive back to Marrakech. Thank you for choosing us.

To confirm your booking we ask you to pay a 20% deposit. This can be in Euros, pounds sterling or US dollars online via bank account. The balance is paid in Morocco by cash – again in Euros, sterling or dollars – at the beginning of the trek.
