Explanation: A sentence or two that explains your topic and then relates it to the subject of the paper. Normally, this is the sentence you would have written if you didn't have to write a topic sentence. It is written right after your topic sentence. It tells the reader what you mean by your topic. Don't overthink this, as it is your opportunity to let the reader know what you mean by the topic title you chose for your body paragraph. If you are struggling, ask yourself "What do I mean by (insert topic)?"
