Our Canine Detective

Patches - Winnipeg's First Local Resident Bed Bug Sniffing Dog

Our canine inspector, Patches, was rescued from the shelter and was recruited for her excellent nose and her small size. She has been specially trained in the U.S. by Bill Whitstine at the Florida Canine Academy, http://bedbugdog.com/default.aspx, and she continues to complete daily exercises to ensure her accuracy.

Patches is a pointer/terrier cross. She is a self-possessed, well-socialized young lady who occasionally surprises us with some entertaining goat-like qualities. Her focus, when she is working, is intense and accurate.

You can depend on Patches.

Patches volunteers at Hands of Hope
