RIGHT TO BE FREE FROM UNREASONABLE SEARCHES-4TH AMENDMENT

FOURTH AMENDMENT

SEARCH AND SEIZURE

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated; and no Warrants shall issue but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

DO NOT CONSENT TO A SEARCH IF THE POLICE DO NOT HAVE A WARRANT!You should POLITELY make it clear that you do not consent to the search; but do not resist, do not interfere, do not argue, do not lie, and do not be rude to any police officer.

DO NOT try to explain or try to deal with the situation at the scene. If you are arrested, the police can search you.

Call a Lawyer. A Lawyer, with your input, can argue in Court that you rights may have been violated.
