1967 PRESS KIT

Issued a mere two months after Walt Disney’s death, this very rare press kit was sent to related news outlets and corporate participants announcing the greatest project to date for Walt Disney Productions and WED Enterprises: The Florida Project. This press folder is some of the earliest public information made available on the project with press copy info and photographs of concept art and stills from Disney’s last pitch of the project. At this early stage, the emphasis was still heavily on E.P.C.O.T. and less on the theme park which was planned to fund it. Soon, the Experimental City would take a back burner to the Magic Kingdom and ultimately drop out from immediate planning. An excellent example of how drastically the course changed on the project within a year of Walt’s death.
