Being at home with God means being at home with other people too. It is the same love that he has for us that he has for others who are also made "in his image and likeness."
It is simple:
"Love your neighbour as yourself."
"Treat others and as you want them to treat you."
"Take the beam out of your own eye, then you will see clearly enough to take the splinter out of another's."
"Be compassionate ... because the standard you use will be the standard used for you."
Pray "Our Father ... forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us."
Look at life from the position of the oppressed: "Which proved himself to be a neighbour to the man who fell into the hands of bandits?"
But to those of us who have experienced being lost, and most of us have in one way or another, this love means stepping outside our 'comfort zones' and being at home with some very unsavoury characters like Jesus was when he dined with "publicans and sinners".
Being at home with God, we find that love has no limits.
