Saving people requires passion and perseverance. Jesus has set the example for us. He has bought and delivered the means. He expects the results.
Jesus had a gut-wrenching passion for the crowds when he saw how "harassed and dejected" (Mt 9:36) they were from the attacks of the wolf, Satan. He moved in and plundered Satan's domain (See Mk 3:27) and taught his disciples to do the same (See Lk 10:1-24). Like a doctor spending his time with the sick, Jesus dined out with outcasts and sinners (See Mt 9:12-13). He suffered crucifixion to set the world on fire (See Lk 12:39-40). He died to drive out the prince of this world (See John 12:31). He won for us the outpouring of the Spirit. (See John 7:39)
When Jesus returns in glory, to judge the living and the dead, he will be coming looking for results from his followers. He expects us to
produce a harvest thirty, sixty, even a hundredfold (See Mk 4:20)
profit from our talents and not to bury them (See Mt 25:14-30)
bear even more fruit from being pruned like a vine branch (See Jn 15:1-6)
Encouraging us in the fight to save people he said,
"Your perseverance will win you your lives" (Lk 21:19)
"Be brave: I have conquered the world" (Jn 16:33)
"Amen, Amen, I tell you, whoever believes in me will perform the same works as I do, and he will perform even greater works, because I am going to the Father." (Jn 14:12)
"And look, I am with you always; yes, to the end of time.' (Mt 28:20)
