Pg 34 - Union Tool Chest Works

Union Tool Chest Works, Rochester, NY. 1909 – 1918

Harry E. C. Booth, a machinist and strong “Union” supporter, formed this company. He called his line ‘Union Suit Case Tool Chests’. From 1909 into 1912 he worked out of his garage on Emma St. Later in 1912 he moved his manufacturing to North St.

In 1913 G. N. Perkins acquired the company. Perkins was the president of American Drafting Furniture Co., 14 Railroad St., Rochester NY. Their first recorded year of business was 1903. Perkins moved Works to his facility in 1913.

Perkins did not start making machinist tool chests nor cases in 1893, as he referred to in later Union companies nameplates.
