The Cost Sharing Concept
I just would like to clarify that this is not a charter business and we are not looking to make a profit. If you charter a yacht with a skipper, you will be treated as a customer, and just like in a hotel you will do nothing onboard and for this you also pay vast amounts of money. Instead, what we offer is the opportunity for people to have some fun being a participant crewmember if they wish, in return of a weekly contribution towards the costs of the running and maintainance of the boat and therefore the general well-being of everybody. This is essentially what cost-sharing concept means to us.
The contribution each crewmember will pay covers expenses like:
Food onboard (breakfast, lunch, dinner and water)
Fuel expenses
Berth
Cruising permits
Marina and mooring fees (one night a week)
Maintainance and running of the boat
…..and it does not cover:
Eating and drinking off the boat (restaurant, bars, etc.)
Alcohol and ice
Personal insurance
Visas
Travel from and to the boat
Personal expenses
