Vets Get Pets Program

1. You must be registered in the Nebraska Veterans' Registry to qualify for the Vets Get Pets program. Register here if you haven't already.

2. Fill out the NE Department of Veteran's Affairs adoption preauthorization and email us at thefosterkittenproject@gmail to have us sign it. 

3. After receiving the authorization for adoption from the Nebraska Department of Veterans' Affairs please fill out The Foster Kitten Project adoption application for a Waitlist Kitten.

4. Once The Foster Kitten Project Application is approved you may select your kitten or cat to be held for you.

5. Request an itemized final billing statement from us to give to the Nebraska Department of Veterans' Affairs so payment can be processed. 

6. Once payment has been received you may take your new furry family member home.

7. NOTE: If for any reason the adoption does not work out, our contract states that the kitten(s)/cat(s) be returned to The Foster Kitten Project. We understand life happens. It doesn't matter if it's 2 weeks or 2 years later, if the adoption isn't working, we want them returned to us.
