The Foster Kitten Project

Saving Kittens One Bottle At A Time

The Foster Kitten Project is dedicated to rescuing orphaned and abandoned neonatal kittens.

Many shelters are unable to take in these kittens due to their intensive round-the-clock care, because of this; they are one of the largest groups euthanized in the United States every year.

Our mission is to provide these vulnerable kittens with comprehensive medical care, including spaying and neutering, to prevent overpopulation, suffering, and the spread of disease.

Together, we nurture a future where every kitten has the opportunity for a healthy, loving home.

Hopeful Paws: Long-term Feline Residents Seeking Furever Homes

The felines featured here have been in rescue with The Foster Kitten Project for more than one year, some for two to three years. These beautiful kitties are looking for that purrfect furever family to call their very own and they are very HOPEFUL it will be soon.

They are healthy, loving, and purrfect but can be a little shy, meaning they need someone patient enough to allow their personalities to come to life. We promise they are worth it.

Sombra

Sombra was living in a North Omaha neighborhood and was being fed by the community, but when they noticed she was pregnant they called FKP and a volunteer trapped her to bring her into rescue.

Sombra is a gorgeous, sleek house panther with the most beautiful amber eyes. She is a kitty that is full of love and snuggles. She asks very politely for kisses and gives them back often.

In the foster home, Sombra has not had an opportunity to meet any dogs, but she gets along well with other cats, and kids. Sombra requires a litter box that is large and covered. Her manners are very good if you provide her with the proper tools to help her be successful.
