Is it time for a universal dementia friendly symbol?

The World Young Leaders in Dementia (WYLD) conducted a survey of existing Dementia Friendly Initiatives and Communities around the world, as well as their symbol and the need for a universal symbol or element. We concluded that a universal element may be the best option to integrate universal recognition for persons living with dementia and their caregivers with local cultural significance and recognition. This work was commissioned by the United Kingdom Department of Health. Read the report here.
