2001 - Phase 2A Study

About 18 months after the publication of the Preliminary Feasibility Report, the BIOT Administration decided to proceed with the next stage of the study, and in 2001 Phase 2A involved the placing of equipment on two of the islands for long term monitoring by British Geological Survey.

This part of the work appears not to have been completed satisfactorily and only an Interim Report was ever supplied by BGS to the BIOT (BGS Report).
