2022-23 Challenge is called Power Play. For this season our team opted to build an lighter robot that could pick up and deliver cones on the highest poles. After the game reveal, our team discussed various design options for picking and delivery and prototyped a few designs to choose the best. Our robot this year made use of both store bought parts as well as some custom components using 3D printing. This year we wanted to teach the newer members about FTC and robotics and grow the team. We are also experimenting using Vison recognition software and using odometry wheels for navigation.

Power Play Challenge
In the 2022-2023 season, FIRST® FORWARDSM presented by Qualcomm, FIRST® teams will explore the future of transportation.
Autonomous: This is the 30 second period of autonomous operation where teams score points for completing tasks like delivering the cones , placing the cones in one of the three levels of junctions poles and park in designated areas.
Driver Controlled: During this 2 minute period, teams score by placing cones in the junction poles. Depending on which level the cones are placed, teams score different points. Teams can also score by placing cones on the ground junctions.
End Game: During end game teams can score extra points by placing the beacon on top of any of the junctions and thus claiming it. If the team places their cone on the junction on the top , they can claim that junction. Further if Team is able to make a circuit they earn extra points.
