Nine Elements Become Nine Units, Divided into Three Themes
Here are the Nine Themes of Digital Citizenship sorted into three thematic sections, which provide a framework for digital citizenship units.
Theme = Unit on Respect Your Self / Respect Others
Unit on Digital Etiquette: standards of conduct or procedure
Unit on Digital Access: full electronic participation in society
Unit on Digital Law: electronic responsibility for actions and deeds
Theme = Unit on Educate Your Self / Educate Others
Unit on Digital Communication: electronic exchange of information
Unit on Digital Literacy: process of teaching and learning about technology and the use of technology.
Unit on Digital Commerce: electronic buying and selling of goods
Theme = Unit on Protect Your Self / Protect Others
Unit on Digital Rights & Responsibilities: those freedoms extended to everyone in a digital world
Unit on Digital Safety (Security): electronic precautions to guarantee safety.
Unit on Digital Health and Wellness: physical and psychological well-being in a digital technology world.
