And that's it! My friend showed it off at a party this weekend. People asked if I would be making more. Honestly, I really think the BBC should just make some plastic ones and save me the time and energy. But if I were to do it on a large scale (or even ever again), I'd invest in that stationary belt sander or something to put those bevels on. And although, pre-beveling was easier, I think created a more imperfect final product. 

I asked her to send me some pics of it in its final home and I'll post them when she does.
