Talman Visitor Policy

Talman Visitor Policy

Visitors that arrive at the school will be greeted by a staff member at the door at the main entrance. The staff member will answer questions and schedule a follow up phone call or meeting with you if your questions or concerns cannot be answered at the time of your visit. Parent conferences will be held in person, by phone, or google meets until further notice. Visitors will need to schedule an appointment to meet with your child’s teacher. Appointments must be scheduled 24 hours in advance and must be approved by the assistant principal or principal in order to speak with a staff member in person. If you are experiencing symptoms, please stay home and we can schedule a virtual or telephone conference.

Approved visitors with scheduled appointment times must stop and wait at the main door and make sure to review health screening questions. If cleared, approved visitors will get a visitor tag after they sign in and must go through the metal detector. Weapons, weapon look-alikes and firearms are not allowed on school grounds. If you have an appointment or need to enter the building to meet with a staff member you will be asked to present an ID or provide your full name.  Information will be entered into a new CPS system.

All individuals are strongly encouraged to follow prescribed health protocols, which include wearing cloth face coverings at all times and social distancing of at least 6 feet. Washing hands frequently is vital to keeping us all healthy.
