The Tallapoosa of the late nineteenth century and early twentieth century provided well for those who wanted to visit and explore the city of that time.
Comfortable accommodations could be found at the Tallapoosa Hotel, the Monarch Dinner House and the Lithia Springs Hotel or Hotel Lithia.
The Tallapoosa Hotel contained 75 rooms with modern improvements for the period and was a popular place for the traveling public and tourists.
The Monarch was a popular hotel as well but was smaller in comparison to the others noted here.
In addition to the hotels, there were numerous places for those who wished to board. Private homes offered either rooms or apartments at reasonable rates to those who desired this type of residence.
