Bob Henke applied for a 6,000 dollar Community Foundation of Southwest Iowa Grant. Available in April if approved.
John Coufal & Debbie Dammann are working on the IDW mission grant for the amount of 2,750 dollars.
Thrivent actionteam.org discussed, should be looked into and utilized.
Bylaws were written up and proposed by the bylaws committee. Pastor Watt, Rod Goodemote & Howard Anderson. Some changes were to be made. Tabled until next meeting.
President and Secretary are to have a copy of bylaws at every meeting.
Decided the Secretary is to send out agenda 7 days prior to meetings.
Special or Emergency meeting may be called by chair or vice chair waiving the 7 day notice.
Inventory committee, Randy Roghair, Howard Anderson & Terry Dammann liked and want to use the inventory list in the Mercy in Action book (which is received with the lert training). A master list will be made and sent out for the items we would like for the trailer. Ron Eichhorst told of some of the things which had been donated to St. Johns. Randy suggested each of the churches contacts could print out a list & give to the congregation. Periodically checking the lert website to report what has been donated & to see what still is needed and adjust list accordingly.
Randy Roghair reported on the chainsaw certification. Ellie is only aware of 2 people who do the training and it would take 6 months to get them. He is looking into some other venues.
Ron Eichhorst made a reference to the lert manual that on page 7 some references to the food need to be removed.
Randy Roghair reported that Jay Bochart and himself were going to go look at some other lert trailers to see how there interiors were finished out.
Location of trailer is Osceola. Thanks to Pastor Tomkins for delivering that.
Storage for the trailer is still an issue. Ideal storage would be a locked building.
