Working Parties & Risk Assessments

SWCFAG organises various volunteer working parties during the year to undertake minor clearing etc of the stream in areas as agreed necessary.

SWCFAG has insurance cover for these working parties via the Parish Council Winterbourne Abbas/Steepleton and as part of this arrangement undertakes a specific Risk Assessment (RA) for each session. A sign in form for volunteers is completed at the start of the session. SWCFAG has high visibility vests, road signs and traffic bollards to safeguard the work areas .

NB : Individual volunteers are fully responsible for their own immunisation (anti Tetanus being a minimum) and for providing their own suitable clothing, boots/waders and gloves etc together with any tools required. Please read the Risk Assessment for more specific details.
