Click the "Calendar" section to see a full calendar of events, this page just gives a little more detail about our regular events. But there are lots more! You can also find information about our events on our Facebook page.
Most of our events are FREE, and everyone is welcome. We encourage donations from anyone who can afford to, as we need your generosity to keep our community activities running.
Saturday 8th November, 10am-12pm at The Green Hub.
Bring your good quality, unwanted craft items to swap for all kinds of other craft bits!
Mondays, 2pm - 4pm at The Green Hub.
Drop in for a chat, a tea and biscuit, and to learn a new skill. Every week, we have something new, and the wide variety of topics goes right to the fringes of sustainability. In the past, we have done fermenting, beekeeping, book binding, bird identification, crochet, jewellery, and much more. We also really welcome anyone who has a skill they'd like to share - many of our participants end up leading a skill themselves.
Every Tuesday, 10am-12pm at The Green Hub.
Bring your own craft and join Di for some creativity and a natter. Refreshments available, just bring a craft or something to do. You’re also welcome to use our equipment, and there might be someone able to help with projects if needed. Everyone welcome to our warm friendly space :)
Third Saturday of the month, 2pm-5pm at the Green Hub.
Bring your broken bikes, torn clothes, and busted electrical items. Our fixers will take a loo, and do their best to fix them up for you.
No charge for fixing, but we do ask for donations towards costs.
Second Wednesday of the month, 2pm - 3.30pm at Broadway Allotments orchard plot.
Third Saturday of the month, 10am - 12pm meeting at the New Road Allotment.
A mixture of planting, weeding, composting, watering, and other gardening related tasks. This is a lovely, friendly, chilled activity where everyone works at their own pace. Some like to chat, some are there for a bit of peace or some light exercise. Whatever your reason for coming along, you'll feel welcome. Everyone gets a share of the produce we grow, and we've had a huge bounty this year!
Dress for the weather, bring gloves and some water.
First Monday of the month, 7.30pm at the Green Hub.
Come along for a hot drink and chat as we mend our projects together. Bring something you're working on, and everyone helps each other where needed. A casual evening of mending and chatting. People usually bring sewing and fibre craft, as we have equipment for this, but you are welcome to bring any project.
NB: This used to be at the pub, but we've moved to the pub so we can use the sewing machines and plenty of other equipment at the Green Hub, so if you'd like to bring a beer or bottle of wine, you are very welcome to.
SWISH Clothes Swap
Periodically at the Green Hub. See our calendar under the "What's On" tab for details. £2 entry.
Bring up to 10 items to swap, and go home with some new clothes! There are always plenty of gems and the odd rarity or designer item, so do have a good rummage through what's on the rails. If you find more than 10 you like, we just ask for a small charge per extra item. There is often raffles, activities, and plenty of chatting at SWISH events, it's a great atmosphere.

Bring your good quality, unwanted craft items to swap for all kinds of other craft bits! Fabrics, yarns, papercraft, whittling, lino, paints, sketch sets...everything goes, as long as it's in good enough condition to use. This is a big and busy event, so if you're keen to scout out something specific, be sure to arrive near the start. People have left with whole trollies and big bags of goodies, and we still have plenty left at the end, so you could find yourself some real treasures.
