Accessibility Information
The Green Hub is an accessible room within the SOHA building. Arriving from Lydalls Road the door is step free, and has a raised ridge about one inch from the ground, which is suitable for most walking aids, wheelchairs, and pushchairs.
The building itself has an accessible toilet, a small kitchen with washing-up facilities, a microwave, and a kettle. Access to all of these is step-free. It is heated, and there are plenty of chairs and tables. We have a selection of teas and coffee for visitors with hot water in thermos jugs.
Doors within the building are fire doors, and one of the doors on the way to the toilets and kitchen requires a pass. Whenever possible we pin this door open while we have visitors, but please let a member of the team know if you go to use the toilet just in case the door is shut, and we can make sure the access is clear.
Currently there are no specific baby changing facilities in the SOHA building, but we will find a suitable space for you should this be necessary.
The Green Hub is a short walk from Didcot Parkway train station and bus stops. There is cycle parking available on request as they have keycard access. Visitors can arrive with their bike at the Green Hub door and we can assist you from there. For those driving, we cannot always guarantee parking in the car park, but there is a residential road outside and a Pay and Display car park a few doors down from the SOHA Building where we are located. If you have a blue badge, finding parking close by should be easy.
When visiting or attending one of our events, please bring any medication and personal equipment you may need. We recommend bringing your carer if you have one, and all children must be accompnied by an adult. Please feel free to get in touch in advance if you have any concerns or questions.
