Matlab Tutorials and Help

• Here is the official "Getting Started" online tutorial. It requires you to signup for a Mathworks account using an email address.
• The main Matlab support and documentation page here also provides a wealth of information and reference material.

Installing and Using Matlab

• Obtain a MSU ID and make sure that you have access to your MSU email account.
• Head over to the MSU Computer Store [map] and ask the staff for Matlab. They will ask for your MSU email ID (and they may ask for your MSU ID for verification purposes).
• The Computer Store will then send you an email containing your Matlab license/activation key.
• You can now either
  • install Matlab locally on your computer, or,
  • you can log in to your Mathworks account (that you created during the Matlab tutorial) and associate your account with this license key.
    • To associate your account with the MSU Matlab activation key, point your browser to Matlab Online (https://matlab.mathworks.com/). It should automatically bring up a window asking for the activation key.
• Once your Mathworks account is associated with the MSU Matlab license key, you can go to Matlab online and use Matlab from a web browser.
