- cameras are wrong or absent (you don't see you in Demo mode);
- two checkpoints (or finish lines) are crossed so that you hear it twice (this bug is still exists in Special Matt Forest). I propose to remove one or make them more far from one another;
- crashes of the game because of some parameter or object class absent;
- etc etc (I don't know many of them which professor Michael knows).
Thanks Oleg,
For the Special Forest there are two finish points, one on the far right of the trees and the other at the obvious finish, that may be the problem.

I just heared the two sounds of the Checkpoint 2 in Matt Forest (I didn't check the Object_data). Didn't know about 2 finish lines. It was in Practice iciagogo before we corrected it. If there are 2 checkpoints then you see the time on the 1st checkpoint, but the time on 2nd checkpoint is written in high_times.
Also, there is the same problem in Matt Village (Checkpoint 1) - there are two checkpoints close to one another, or there is one but when you go you can cross the checkpoint twice :noob:
Michael is still more dead than alive

Right, the same applies because of the two routes.

Told you there would be an endless cycle. I'll try Oleg's High Speed by Me run, but the link is dead. If anyone has the run could you please email it to me?
Thanks

I've corrected two links. I forgot that names are register dependent.
My result on Special Matt Forest is 1.00.00 :) And this is the first time I saw such time in a hall of fame.

Just a thought:
I could make a new HOF ST. I have plenty of room on my FTP Server 24GB to be exact. The only thing is I can't check the races as often. It is still possible.
What do you reckon? I'll start constructing it unless Oleg has already started.

You can do it.
You can also copy mk's page and just modify it (it is preferred but say design is by mk).
Copy all races there while they are online!
P.S. Michael no longer participates in this forum :(

I'll start on it but just be wary, it won't look exactly the same as mk's. I use a different program to him and I have no idea what the result might turn out being. I'll give it a shot.
When you think about it, mk and probably you guys too have been doing this for a number of years, I think he works the hardest so he deserves a break.

Maybe, I hope.
But, he is more wise than Matt :) And maybe than me.
Because this stupid game doesn't cost so much time.
The life is much more.
Matt, your main task now is to be good in school. This is for your future.
I have to finish apartment repairs, a monograph book and a PhD Thesis.
We don't have time for records, new buggy tracks and new halls of fame...
I propose to all to make a long break. :bulb:

Well, I'll keep ticking. But not as much, I had previously taken a two year break from Supreme Snowboarding anyway, so I can do anything. I have started on the new HOF ST but it may take up to a month to get online. I need Dreamweaver to perform this task and sadly it is not available to me. I will get my hands on it ASAP but this could take up to a couple of months. Is there a substitution for Dreamweaver? Would really help!

Dreamweaver? Why?
Just take mk's page and copy all files to your site. Then add new races. That's all! It will be in one day.
If you need a good program for web-pages editing then use MS Frontpage (a part of MS Office Professional)
For example, I really don't like that the text in your hall of fame is as pictures. The page loads very slow.

I know what you mean. At the moment I am using a terribly basic Mac program called iWeb. No HTML coding, no nothing. It does it all for you and gives you no options, hence the reason I think I'll get Dreamweaver.
Microsoft isn't for mac, but I could try and run it through Crossover, but it will turn out buggy. The HOF ST should be online in about a month sadly. You can do it if you want to Oleg.

It would be awfully lonely. How long do you plan for this break to be?

Well, I play only when I have time, and this is few time. I've told how much responsibilities I have, and I don't like that they are not finished. I feel I need several months of intensive work. Michael feels the same: too much time was spent for the game. We are addicted, but we should not be addicted with anything. This is why I just advise you to review your responsibilities and priorities too. Do you need new tracks just for yourself?
P.S. Your time on High-Speed Matt was 1.08.58 (seen in demo version). You should check each race in Demo before uploading to your site. And you should check every race that is sent to you in the proper track in Demo version before uploading to a hall of fame if you want to support the HOF ST.

I would like to but the new special tracks that have been made are not available on the Demo Version for me. I need a beta-version for it. I have checked all of the others AND the HOF ST is now online. It is a beta-version because I am awaiting the green light for Dreamweaver.
For the time being I am using a program called NVU. Special Tracks should be online in under a month.
Did I say a month? I meant two seconds!
Dot TK are experiencing technical difficulties. It comes up with the wrong redirection, sometimes it is beta-version other times it is new. Weird.

You can check your race in Demo on ANY track (just check the time). You can also wait in Full version after you finish the race and see the final time. But you should check the races of others in Demo on PROPER track to see the race is not cheated.
BTW, the Demo tracks for new tracks are available here:
http://ssb.bplaced.net/Demo_Tracks_Beta.rar (they are all beta yet, not yet official).

Thanks for the tips Oleg
I think I've fixed everything. I was aware of the method mk follows and have changed that accordingly, the only things left to do is most of Vanish's runs, some of Dom's and Jake's famous 1.43.31 on Alpine Medium v2 are still in mk's form. They should be changed by tomorrow or the next day.
I will take my time with my track. I'll try not to get too lonely, you will be welcomed with a lot of World Records when you come back! :D
BTW
The problem with my website redirection is one thing: It takes up to an hour to take effect after publishing, hence the reason the changes will not be made instantaneously. When the 'z' disappears you can check if you want.
Quick Question:
What font do you use for your website Oleg?

To do such things by hand, at least HTML knowing needed.
Better to have a simple program like Frontpage.

But if you use styles, fonts and different colors, plus links and pictures, it becomes a bit complicated. You should at least have a template...

Well thanks Oleg for running me through the Hall of Fame for Special Tracks, I'm sorry if I annoyed you with all of my questions but I wanted to make it right.
Glad you're back mk!
Could one of you guys go to http://special-tracks.tk and download Practice 34.87? It is a different FTP Server and I hope it works!
I'm running out of room on my TPG Server.

Aha, so why you said you have 24G of room?
The "FTP" server works but it is HTTP server ;). And it contains your family name in the URL.

If you use http://special-tracks.tk and click on one of the links the URL stays the same.
All of the links down to Matt Village should be working properly.

The URL in address line is the same, but real URL is visible in the status line.
This is like this: http://files.me.com/mattrocks_slee/cmq8o8. It contains your family name. And more important, you upload the files to some store server where they can be removed after several months.
Can you (mk or Matt) say how much is needed for HOF ST files? I can also make a HOF ST on my own computer (no room limit) but URL will contain IP address - not good also.

Is there a way to make it relative? i.e. /cmq8o8? That is my username that I can't change, and besides the point we are probably one of the only ones aware of this paradise of a site.

Wrong, the links don't expire, they will be there for all eternity unless I delete them.

So far (all tracks up to Special by Xinfe) I have used 48mb, I would estimate around 57mb.
