The main stars of the previous season remain the same, with the additions of Helmut Berger (Peter de Vilbis) and Deborah Adair (Tracy Kendall) for 9 and 20 episodes, respectively. In episode 8 Michael Nader joins the regular cast of the series as Dex Dexter. The supporting cast includes Virginia Hawkins and Betty Harford, and debuting William Beckley as the new majordomo Gerard.
1/62 - "THE ARREST" ("EL ARRESTO")

Krystle y Alexis, atrapadas en una cabaña en llamas en un bosque lejano, descubren que la puerta ha sido cerrada desde fuera. Mark, que ha acudido a ver a Krystle en este lugar remoto, rescata dramáticamente a ambas mujeres, que son trasladadas al hospital.

Krystle and Alexis, trapped in a burning cabin far off in the woods, find the door has been locked--from the outside. Mark, who has come to see Krystle in this remote setting, dramatically rescues the two women, who are rushed to the hospital
"It's frightening to think how many people there are out there who hate me enough to want me dead" - Alexis says later, once she is safe and sound. Blake meets with Steven to discuss the upbringing of little Danny; Blake remains convinced that a homosexual cannot provide a proper role model. A pregnant Kirby wrestles with the decision to tell Jeff he is not the father of her baby, while Fallon learns Adam is responsible for the mysterious illness that almost cost Jeff's life. Blake, suspecting that Mark's timely arrival at the burning cabin is more than coincidence, provides evidence to the police and Mark is arrested.

2/63 - "THE BUNGALOW" ("EL BUNGALOW")

Mark es acusado de intento de asesinato e incendio provocado; Alexis informa a Blake y a la policía de que su motivo era la venganza. Los demás sospechosos: McVane, Hess y Adam, son interrogados y puestos en libertad. Krystle sugiere que Alexis quiere tomarse la revancha porque fue rechazada por Mark; luego Blake dice a Alexis:

Mark is charged with attempted murder and arson; Alexis tells Blake and the police his motive was revenge. The other suspects: McVane, Hess and Adam, are questioned and released. After Alexis destroys Fallon's relationship with Mark, Krystle suggests she is seeking revenge because Mark rejected her; then Blake tells Alexis:
"I really must thank you. For once in your life, you've done me a favor - even though it was totally unintentional. You know, if you keep up this kind of behavior, people are going to start liking you." "I don't know what you're talking about" - she answers, "but people either loathe me or adore me. There's no middle ground with Alexis Colby - never has been, never will be." Kirby breaks down and tells Krystle her baby is not Jeff's; an unknown man in surgical garb tries to smother Alexis. Blake and Jeff receive a frantic call from Joseph, who is muttering incoherently. At the bungalow where Kirby was born, Blake and Jeff find the disturbed butler with a gun. Before they can stop him. Joseph pulls the trigger and kills himself.

3/64 - "THE NOTE" ("LA NOTA")

Alexis recibe una nota escrita por el difunto Joseph, confesando que fue él quién provocó el incendio porque ella había arruinado muchas vidas con sus manipulaciones y esperaba que su muerte satisfaría "la necesidad de venganza de la bruja del pelo negro". Alexis se burla de ello y afirma que nunca pretendía contarle a Kirby que su madre era una "ninfómana". Blake miente para proteger a la chica: le dice que su padre temía que Alexis tomara el control de la Denver-Carrington e intentara matarla por lealtad a su jefe. Cuando el intento de asesinato fracasó, el mayordomo se quitó la vida. Como siempre, Alexis critica a Blake por cómo ha tratado a Kirby:

Claudia es dada de alta del sanatorio y ella y Steven hacen el amor. Cuando Steven se entera del plan de Blake para solicitar la custodia de Danny, se enfurece, ambos hombres pierden la calma y acaban peleando en el suelo...
Alexis receives a note written by the late Joseph, stating that he indeed set the fire to kill her because of the lives she's ruined with her manipulations and hoping his death will satisfy “the black-haired witch’s need for vengeance”. Alexis laughs it off, claiming she never intended to tell Kirby her mother was an "attic nympho." Blake lies to protect the girl, telling Kirby her father was worried Alexis would take control of Denver-Carrington and tried to kill her out of loyalty to his employer. When the murder attempt failed, the butler tragically killed himself. As usual, Alexis bashes Blake for the way he has treated Kirby:
"How noble of you, Blake, to lie. Do I applaud now; shout Bravo! or just remain terribly impressed. Well, I'm not impressed. Many things suit you Blake but being sanctimonious isn't one of them." Claudia is released from the sanitarium and she and Steven make love. When Steven learns of Blake's plan to sue for custody of little Danny, he becomes enraged. Both men lose their tempers and wrestle each other to the ground.

4/65 - "THE HEARING" ("LA VISTA") (I)

Kirby exige a Alexis que desvele el verdadero motivo por el que su padre intentó matarla. Presa de la rabia, la joven intenta estrangular a Alexis. Luego, Blake debe escuchar otra de las acusaciones de Alexis, esta vez no sin razón: "¿Qué es esto, Blake? La sagrada casa de Lord Carrington de Denver...No escuchar ni decir nada malo...¿Cómo puedes tirar la primera piedra cuando todos saben que planeas destruir mañana a tu hijo? Steven encuentra a una trabajadora social curioseando por su apartamento y le pide que se vaya. El incidente es relatado más tarde en el juicio por la custodia, y la mujer describe el comportamiento de Steven como la típica reacción homosexual. El fiscal y compañero de piso de Steven, Chris Deegan saca a relucir en su defensa que Blake fue declarado culpable de asesinar a un gay y siente prejuicios ciegos contra los homosexuales:
"Blake aprenderá con esto una lección muy dolorosa" - asegura Steven. "No puede ir por ahí imponiendo sus perjuicios a los demás." Kirby angrily demands that Alexis divulge the real motive behind her father's murder attempt. In a fit of rage Kirby tries to strangle Alexis. Later Blake must stand another of Alexis´s accusations, this time not without a reason: "What is this, Blake? The sacred house of Lord Carrington of Denver. Hear no evil, speak no evil. How can you cast the first stone when everybody knows you are planning tomorrow to destroy your son?" Steven finds a social worker snooping around his apartment and orders her to leave. The incident later is brought up at the custody trial, and the woman describes Steven's behavior as a typical homosexual reaction. Steven's attorney and roommate Chris Deegan brings to the court's attention that Blake has previously been convicted of murdering a gay man and harbors a blind prejudice against homosexuals:
"Blake's going to learn a very painful lesson from this" - assures Steven. "He can't go around shoving his prejudice down other people's throats." Alexis gives an advice to Krystle: "If I were you, I'd start checking the want ads for a new secretarial job. Blake may be rich now, but when our merger goes through, he'll be working for me and if you thought he was difficult to live with before, when that happens, he's going to be impossible." She also testifies that Blake purchased the baby from Sammy Jo. When Blake loses his composture and lashes out at Alexis, the judge orders him to control himself and adjourns the hearing.

5/66 - "THE HEARING" (II)

Alexis encuentra su apartamento patas arriba cuando vuelve de los tribunales. La policía especula que podría haber haber una conexión entre eso y los recientes atentados contra su vida. Fallon testifica a favor de Steven y, cuando se marcha a Montana, Alexis le dice a Adam que, si su viaje tiene que ver con el envenamiento, se quedará solo. En el estrado, Sammy Jo cuenta falsas historias de la promiscuidad de Steven, pero él está decidido a conservar la custodia de su hijo:
"Todo el mundo en este estado y este país tiene derecho a vivir su vida como quiera. Si se demuestra que es un ser humano decente, ¿no tiene derecho un hombre a criar a su hijo, sea o no homosexual? Soy y seré siempre un buen padre para Danny sin importar mi estilo de vida." Esa noche Claudia entra en la habitación del hotel de Sammy Jo y le exige que se retracte de su declaración en el juicio, pero ella contesta: "Steven no tiene agallas al enviarte a pelear por él." Claudia cuenta a Steven que ha encontrado un método infalible para que se quede con la custodia de su hijo...
Alexis arrives home from the trial to find her apartment ransacked. Police Lt. Merrill speculates there may be a connection between the break-in and the recent attempts on her life. Fallon testifies on Steven's behalf. When she leaves for Montana, Alexis tells Adam that if her trip has anything to do with the poisoning incident, he's on his own. On the witness stand, Sammy Jo fabricates tales of Steven's sexual promiscuity, but he is determined to keep his son´s custody:
"Everybody in this state and this country has the right to live his own life the way he wants. Provided he is a decent human being, isn't a man entitled to raise his child, whether he is a homosexual or not. I am and will always be Danny's father and a good one no matter what my lifestyle is." That night, Claudia barges into Sammy Jo's hotel room and demands she retract her courtroom statements, but the latter answers: "Steven sure is a gutless wonder to send you here to fight his battles." Claudia tells Steven she has devised a fool-proof method for him to retain custody of his son.

6/67 - "TENDER COMRADES" ("TIERNOS CAMARADAS")

Siguiendo el plan para conservar a Danny, Steven y Claudia van a casarse a Reno. Cuando el juez escucha que entre los dos educarán al niño, el caso se desestima. Sammy Jo se enfurece: "Supongo que debería felicitarte por la boda. Lo hago, por cómo le has puesto una venda en los ojos al juez, Steven. Y por ti, Claudia, siento pena, pero ojalá pudiera desearte buena suerte porque, créeme, vas a necesitarla." En un intento de recuperar a Krystle, Blake le ofrece un empleo de relaciones públicas en la Denver-Carrington. Adam pide a Alexis que le firme tres documentos rutinarios, pero el segundo y tercero están colocados de manera que no se vea su contenido. A solas, Adam hace pedazos la primera página y guarda las otras dos en el bolsillo. Investigando otro incidente de envenamiento en Montana, Fallon y Jeff se quedan atónitos al saber que el fiscal se llamaba Michael Torrance, el nombre de Adam hasta que llegó a Denver.
Following through on the plan to retain custody of Danny, Steven and Claudia fly to Reno and are married. When the judge receives the assurance they will jointly rear the child, the suit is dismissed. Sammy Jo is furious to hear that: "I guess I am supposed to congratulate you on the wedding. I do; for the way you pulled the wool over that judge's eyes, Steven. And you, Claudia, I feel sorry for you, but I wish you good luck because, believe me, you're going to need it." Attempting to win Krystle back, Blake offers her a public relations job at Denver-Carrington. Adam asks Alexis to sign three routine documents, but the second and third pages are positioned so only the signature line is exposed. When alone, Adam crumples the first page and carefully places the other two in his pocket. Fallon and Jeff investigate the poisoning incident in Montana. They are stunned to learn the name of the prosecuting attorney was Michael Torrance--the name Adam used before arriving in Denver.

7/68 - "TRACY"

En la tienda donde compró el óxido de mercurio venenoso, Adam distrae al vendedor y sustituye la orden de compra auténtica por el documento que Alexis firmó sin saberlo. Bill Rockwell, jefe del departamento de R.P. de la Denver-Carrington a punto de retirarse, informa a su ayudante Tracy de que Krystle ha conseguido el puesto que ella esperaba obtener. Mark pide a Krystle que se case con ella, pero, cuando le rechaza, la ataca físicamente. Alexis se sorpende al encontrar su firma en el documento del componente químico mortal, pero enseguida se da cuenta de que Adam la ha engañado. Blake amenaza con llamar a la prensa si no devuelve las acciones de Jeff y cancela la fusión corporativa:
"Te lo advierto, si llegas 5 minutos tarde a esa reunión del consejo, no sólo les informaré de esta historia enfermiza, sino que la haré pública. Filtraré detalles a la presa de una viuda anónima dispuesta a asesinar para conseguir lo que quería. Daré pruebas suficientes para destruir tu reputación para siempre en Denver y en el mundo del petróleo también. Ni siquiera cinco minutos tarde, recuerda..."
At the store where he bought the poisonous mercuric oxide, Adam distracts the salesman and substitutes the authentic purchase order with the document Alexis unknowingly signed. Bill Rockwell, the retiring head of Denver-Carrington's public relations department, breaks the news to his disappointed assistant, Tracy that Krystle has been given the position she had planned on assuming. Mark proposes marriage to Krystle. When she refuses, he attacks her. Alexis is shocked to find her signature on the purchase order for the deadly chemical compound. She quickly realizes Adam has framed her. Blake threatens to call the press if she doesn't return Jeff's stock and cancel the corporate merger:
"I warn you, if you're even five minutes late for that board meeting, I will not only inform the board members of the whole sickening story, I'll go public with it. I'll leak details to the press about an unnamed widow who was prepared to murder to get what she wanted. There will be enough clues in the story to destroy your reputation for good here in Denver and in the oil business as well...Not even five minutes late, remember."

8/69 - "DEX"

Jeff irrumpe en el despacho de Alexis y la acusa de intentar evenenarle. Ella asegura ser inocente pero Jeff no le hace caso y la obliga a devolverle por escrito sus acciones de la Colbyco: "Sabes que amaba a tu tío" - afirma dramáticamente, a lo que él responde: "Como una viuda negra. Una fusión contigo es una sentencia de muerte segura en el matrimonio o en los negocios." Mark acepta un empleo como guardaespaldas de Alexis. El médico de Adam en Montana explica a Alexis que las drogas que tomaba Adam en su juventud pueden trastornar el juicio. Alexis informa a los miembros del consejo de que la repentina cancelación de la fusión se decidió en su opinión de que la Denver-Carrington carecía de crecimiento creativo. Jeff storms into Alexis' office and accuses her of attempting to poison him. Her claims of innocence fall on deaf ears as Jeff forces her to sign back his Colbyco stock: "You know that I loved your uncle" - she says dramatically, and Jeff replies: "As a black widow. A merger with you is a signed death warrant in marriage or business." After an intruder attempts to enter Alexis' apartment, Mark takes a job as her bodyguard. Adam's doctor in Montana explains to Alexis that the drugs Adam used in his youth can distort judgment. Alexis informs the board members that the sudden merger cancellation was based on her assessment of Denver-Carrington's lack of creative growth. Farnsworth Dex Dexter, the sharp-minded son of an important board member, surprises Alexis with a passionate kiss and suggests they form a business partnership: "Now that we know we have something in common", - Dex says - "we can do business together." "I don't like the word common, Mr. Dexter."

9/70 - "PETER DE VILBIS"

Desde su nuevo cargo, Krystle lanza una campaña publicitaria para luchar contra los comentarios que ha hecho Alexis atacando a la D-C. Jeff recupera su puesto en la empresa de Blake. Adam interfiere en la vida privada de Fallon: "Yo diría que lo que de verdad necesitas es un hombre que te saque de apuros. Entiendo que has sido un espíritu libre y has saltado de cama en cama. Quizá deberías recuperar un antiguo talento. Seguramente sería mucho más divertido vivir contigo." Dex sigue intentando ganarse a Alexis. Jeff se entera de que Kirby estaba embarazada cuando se casaron y se queda atónito al saber que Adam la violó. Fallon acompaña a Blake y Krystle a L.A. para consultar con un arquitecto sobre la expansión de La Mirada. En el hipódromo Fallon cae rendida ante un playboy millonario, Peter de Vilbis.
In her new position, Krystle launches a publicity campaign to counter Alexis' slanderous remarks against Denver-Carrington. Jeff rejoins Blake's firm. Adam interferes in Fallon´s private life: "I dare say that what you really need is some guy to help you out. I understand you were quite a free spirit in various beds. Maybe you should revive an old talent. It would probably make you a hell of a lot more fun to live with." Dex continues his campaign to win Alexis. Jeff learns Kirby was pregnant when they wed and is shocked to learn that Adam raped her. Fallon accompanies Blake and Krystle to L.A. to consult an architect about expanding La Mirage. While at the track, Fallon is swept off her feet by a millionaire playboy, Peter de Vilbis.

10/71 - "THE PROPOSAL" ("LA PROPUESTA")

Dex encuentra en el despacho de Alexis un archivo confidencial etiquetado como "Tar Sand" y consigue cerrar el negocio en su lugar. Más tarde, le ofrece una participación del 60-40%. Un iracundo Jeff localiza a Adam en lo alto del Carrington Plaza:
"¿Sigues trepando hasta arriba?" - le dice Adam a Jeff. "En lo que a ti respecta, he tenido que rebajarme para ponerme a tu altura. ¡La violaste y casi la destruiste!" "Es una chica fuerte - contesta. "Toma sus propias decisiones" "La forzaste tal como nos obligas a nosotros a soportarte..." "Al revés que los demás, Kirby me dio la bienvenida con los brazos abiertos." Tras intercambiar puñetazos, Adam queda colgando desde el borde. Cuando Jeff está a punto de matarle, Adam le explica nervioso que no tenía idea de que era el padre del bebé de Kirby, y Jeff le deja que se ponga a salvo. Jeff intercepta a Kirby cuando está a punto de marcharse a París. Blake le propone matrimonio a Krystle, que acepta contenta.
At Alexis's office, Dex discovers a confidential file marked "Tar Sand" and beats her to the contract. Later, he offers her a 60-40 split. An enraged Jeff locates Adam at the summit of the Carrington Plaza:
"Still climbing to the top?" - Adam says to Jeff. "Where you're concerned I've had to lower myself. You raped her! You damn near destroyed her!" "She's a strong girl - he replies. "She has a mind of her own." "You forced yourself on her, the way you forced yourself on all of us!" "Unlike the rest of you, Kirby welcomed me with open arms." After exchanging violent punches, Adam tumbles halfway over the edge. As Jeff is about to finish him off, Adam frantically explains he had no idea he fathered Kirby's child, and Jeff allows him to crawl to safety. Jeff intercepts Kirby as she is about to leave for Paris. Blake proposes marriage to Krystle, who happily accepts.

11/72 - "CAROUSEL" ("CARRUSEL")

Kirby le pide el divorcio a Jeff y Adam le dice que quiere ser un padre para su hijo. Dex y Alexis hacen el amor, mientras que Jeff siente celos al ver a Fallon con Peter de Vilbis. El campeón de Peter, Allegre, está a la venta y Blake decide comprar la yegua. En el Baile del Carrusel, el momento álgido de la temporada social de Denver, Blake y Krystle anuncian su próxima boda. Steven da la enhorabuena a su padre sinceramente y Blake se siente conmovido por el gesto y le da la bienvenida a la familia de nuevo.
Kirby proposes that she and Jeff divorce. Adam tells her he wants to be a father to their child. Dex and Alexis make love. Jeff is jealous to see Fallon with Peter de Vilbis. Peter's champion racehorse, Allegre, is up for sale, and Blake decides to buy the mare. At the Carousel Ball, the high point of Denver's social season, Blake and Krystle announce their intentions to remarry. Steven warmly wishes his father the best. Blake is touched by the gesture and welcomes his son back into the family.

Nerviosa porque va a dejar su nuevo empleo, Krystle le da a Tracy sus últimas instrucciones mientras prepara su viaje de luna de miel a Rio de Janeiro. Nervous about leaving her new job, Krystle gives Tracy final instructions as she prepares for her honeymoon in Rio de Janeiro. Tracy persuades Krystle to give her the company credit cards as well as the keys to the confidential files. Claudia tries to help Alexis understand her son: "Steven loves his father, Alexis. And he loves you, too - very much. And that's the way it should be. But if you can't accept an equal display of affection from Steven to both of his parents, that's your problem. Please don't try and make it mine." Peter arrives at La Mirage asking for Fallon, and makes a pass at Claudia. Alexis and Dex argue about Blake:
"I'm not sharing you with anyone" - assures Dex. "I think you still have a thing for Blake Carrington." "Blake Carrington? I loathe him. From the bottom of my heart. I despise that man. And, as far as sharing you goes, exclusivity is something only I decide." As the wedding guests arrive, Adam demands Kirby tell their child the true identity of his father. Learning she intends to divorce Jeff, Adam asks Kirby to marry him. Krystle and Blake exchange vows and are pronounced husband and wife.

After shelling out over $2 million to work on one of Peter's hotels, Ernesto the architect demands to know when he will be repaid. He wonders if the money is going toward Peter's "habit." Kirby's hand suddenly begins to swell uncontrollably, making it necessary to cut off her wedding ring.

It's an act of abuse and violence. Another time, they would have dragged you out to the center square and horse whipped you; brand you an animal." Peter offers Fallon cocaine. Tracy purposely misplaces an urgent business memo from Blake to Krystle. As an agitated Blake awaits his publicity director at an important meeting, Tracy cunningly shows up and 'saves the day.' Allegre the racehorse is discovered missing. Claudia receives a box of violets with a note reading, "Remember? Lancelot." Trembling with fear, she recalls that Lancelot was her late husband's nickname.

"I'll tell you what I'm getting - a man who's worked very hard for everything he's got. Didn't have a rich uncle to give him everything on a silver platter. So, you tell me, who's the better man." While pouring herself a glass of water, Kirby's hand begins to tremble uncontrollably. Diagnosed as suffering from hypereflexia, a condition that may lead to convulsions or heart failure, Kirby remains hospitalized while Adam keeps an all-night vigil in her room. Suddenly, her body becomes rigid and goes into convulsive seizure.

Peter ha preparado el pago del rescate de Allegre y Blake sospecha cada vez más de su negativa a llamar a la policía y de la decisión de Fallon de casarse con él: "Alguien ha estado criticando a Peter, y quiero saber quién. Peter has made arrangements for the ransom to be delivered to Allegre's captors. Blake grows suspicious of his refusal to call in the police and is unhappy about Fallon's decision to marry him: "Someone has been bashing Peter, and I want to know who. It was Jeff, right?" "No, it was your mother - answers Blake. "Oh, that paragon of sanctity!" - adds Fallon sarcastically. At the same time, Peter tells Jeff:
"She's determined to learn. I'm her instructor. A very good instructor in the air and in the bed. So, she tells me. What's the matter? She never told you about that?" Kirby suffers a second seizure. To save the baby's life, the doctors decide to operate. Congressman McVane attempts to enlist Mark's help in blackmailing Alexis. Claudia receives another box of violets from 'Lancelot.' Beset with guilt, Adam confesses to Blake that he, not Alexis, attempted to poison Jeff. As Blake struggles to understand, Kirby's doctor appears to report that Kirby is alive, but they were unable to save her baby girl.

As Fallon plans to wed Peter, Claudia advises her of his womanizing. Fallon dismisses Claudia's concern, however, as she has with all the others who question the wisdom of her marrying Peter. Tracy sleeps with a newspaper reporter in exchange for a damaging story to scandalize Krystle. Blake gives an advice to Dex about Alexis:
"If you think what you're getting with Alexis is love, I wish you luck, my friend, because, by God, you're going to need it." After Allegre is safely returned, Blake questions Jack Crager, the horse's trainer. After their meeting, Jack quickly phones Peter, who instructs the horse trainer to disappear until further notice. Distraught after learning that Peter has suddenly left the country, Fallon runs into the path of an oncoming truck. Jeff and Blake look on in helpless disbelief.

Más tarde Blake recibe una propuesta para ocupar un importante cargo político. McVane informa a Alexis del nombramiento pero esta se burla de él:

With the family at the hospital waiting for Fallon to regain consciousness, Blake races to the airport to intercept Peter. Passing through security, DeVilbis sets off an alarm and the guards find a cache of drugs in his briefcase. Blake blocks his escape, and Peter is taken to jail. Blake is offered an important political post. McVane informs Alexis of the appointment but she makes fun of him:
"I'm sorry to disappoint you, Neal, but if you came here to see me squirm, you are out of the cab fare it took to get here, or did you have to walk." He is sure she will try to topple him and wants to be there when she does to blackmail her. Kirby accepts Adam's marriage proposal: "You still want to marry me even though you know I don't love you?" - she asks him. "You will. I'll promise. Whatever it takes. How ever long it takes, you're going to love me as much as I love you. Fallon regains consciousness and finds she is paralyzed.

Fallon's doctors believe her paralysis to be psychosomatic. To prevent her from marrying Adam, Alexis offers Kirby a job in Paris. When the ploy fails, Alexis tells the girl her mother has long been confined to an institution for the criminally insane. Kirby had believed her mother to be dead. Fallon, under the care of physical therapists and a doting family, remains unable to walk, until her child's life is in jeopardy. At a family dinner to celebrate Fallon's recovery, Claudia receives a message containing a family snapshot taken by Matthew. She determines to unravel the mystery behind her tormentors.

When Krystle's doctor reveals she is pregnant, both she and Blake are overjoyed. Krystle insists Blake go ahead with a scheduled business trip to Hong Kong and sends Tracy to cover for her. Upon arrival, Blake is chagrined to learn the China Seas deal is to be negotiated by Rashid Ahmed, a notoriously underhanded character. Fallon begins to suffer from painful, recurring headaches. Kirby is torn between finding her mother and leaving matters as they are. Claudia and Steven visit the site of Matthew's accident in the Peruvian jungle. Seeing the wreckage, Claudia is finally satisfied her husband and daughter are dead. Once home, however, she receives a phone call from Matthew.

Blake se enfrenta con el periodista Grayson por su comportamiento traicionero con Tracy, y luego dimite en su cargo político. Cuando Tracy intenta seducir a Blake, este la despide. Steven sospecha de Dex cuando lo ve en el despacho de Alexis con un ramo de violetas en la mano, las mismas flores que ha recibido Claudia misteriosamente. La búsqueda de la madre de Kirby la lleva a un cementerio y a la tumba de ella. En Hong Kong, Alexis revive su antiguo idilio con Ahmed para hacer negocios con él. Claudia recibe otra misteriosa llamada, esta vez de Dex.
Blake and Ahmed close their international China Seas oil deal: "Sometimes people fall from heights. But, I'm not afraid from falling because this deal is a natural. It's a once in a lifetime thing and nothing and no one is going to screw it up for me." Alexis learns of the coup and makes plans for a counterattack. Blake confronts reporter Grayson regarding his deceptive behavior with Tracy, and then quits his political post. When Tracy makes sexual advances toward Blake, she is fired. Steven is suspicious to see Dex in Alexis' office bearing violets - the same flowers being sent mysteriously to Claudia. Kirby's search for her mother leads her to the cemetery and her mother's grave. In Hong Kong to do business with Ahmed, Alexis rekindles their former romance. Claudia receives yet another mysterious call, this time from Dex.

Dex sigue a Alexis hasta Hong Kong y se enfurece al encontrarla con Rashid, con quien acaba de cerrar un negocio para arruinar a Blake: "No sabía que me había enamorado de una zorra con la moral de una perra que está siempre en celo." Alexis le responde airada: "Eres un vaquero de segunda categoría. ¿Creías que eras mi dueño? Pues nadie es el dueño de Alexis..." Kirby explora los motivos que pudo tener su padre para suicidarse y, tras leer su nota, se compra una pistola. Fallon sufre un ataque, mientras que Dex y Tracy se van a la cama. Cuando llama de nuevo el misterioso individuo, Krystle coge el teléfono y se da cuenta de que es una cinta con la voz de Matthew. La madre de este, que lleva mucho tiempo resentida con Claudia, vendió la cinta a un comprador anónimo. Blake hace una visita a Morgan Hess y repara en la cinta que hay junto al teléfono. Hess explica que trataba de culpar a Alexis, pero Blake no cree su historia...
Dex follows Alexis to Hong Kong and is enraged to find her with Rashid, with whom she has just concluded a business deal to ruin Blake: "I didn't know that what I've fallen for was a slut. A slut with the morals of a dog in perpetual heat." An angry Alexis eventually tells him: "You overrated cowboy! You thought you owned me? Well, nobody owns Alexis!" Kirby explores the reasons behind her father's death. After reading his suicide note, she purchases a handgun. Fallon is overcome by a seizure. Dex and Tracy make love. When the mysterious caller phones again, Krystle takes the call and realizes it is a tape recording of Matthew's voice. Matthew's mother, who had long resented Claudia, sold the tape to an unnamed buyer. Blake pays a visit to Morgan Hess and spots the tape near the phone. Hess explains he intended to frame Alexis, but Blake does not believe his story.

Blake y Alexis regresan de Hong Kong y se encuentran en el aeropuerto, donde intercambian cumplidos: "El día que empecemos a extraer petróleo, millones de petróleo, será el día que tu empresa haga un giro de 180 grados y la D-C se convierta en número 1.” “Ese será el día en que regalarán abrigos de piel en el infierno...” - responde Alexis. Luego revisa todos los noticieros de TV y Mark cree que espera oir últimas noticias sorprendentes: algo que ya sabe ella. Blake se entera de que Kirby ha averiguado la verdad sobre su padre y desea demostrarle que sólo le mintió para cumplir el deseo de Joseph. Tracy y Krystle intercambian fuertes palabras:
"Tu jueguecito ha terminado, Tracy, y tú has perdido." "Te equivocas, Krystle. Verás, tal como yo juego, el juego se acaba hasta que el equipo sale del campo. Así que, entre nosotras, consideremos que esto es un descanso." Durante la fiesta de cumpleaños del pequeño Blake, Krystle sorprende a Alexis con la noticia de que espera un bebé. Atónita, Alexis intenta insultarla dejando claro que ella no es la primera que ha dado a luz, ya que Alexis ha tenido cuatro hijos. Krystle repara en el desliz y le pregunta si quiere decir tres. Pero Alexis explica que sufrió un aborto después de tener a Steven. Fallon y Jeff anuncian su nueva boda. Blake and Alexis return from Hong Kong and meet at the airport, where they exchange pleasantries: "The day that we start pumping what I’m sure will be millions of barrels of oil, is the day that your company does an about-face, and Denver-Carrington moves into the lead. We’re going to be No 1.” “That’s the day that they’ll give away fur coats in hell” - Alexis replies. Later, she monitors all of the television news programs, Mark suggests she's waiting to see some late-breaking news: news she already knows. Blake learns Kirby has unearthed the truth about her father and is anxious to demonstrate he only lied to fulfill Joseph's wishes. Tracy and Krystle exchange angry words:
"Your little game is over, Tracy, and you've lost." "Wrong, you are wrong, Krystle. You see, the way I play, the game isn't over until the team walks off the field. So, just between us, let's consider this a time out." As little Blake's birthday party gets underway, Krystle tells a stunned Alexis that she is expecting a baby. A surprised Alexis tries to insult Krystle by stating that Krystle's not the first woman to give birth, as Alexis has given birth four times. Krystle catches the slip and asks doesn't she mean three? To which Alexis explains she had a miscarriage after Steven was born. Fallon and Jeff announce their plans to remarry. The Carringtons are stunned to hear that Rashid Ahmed has created an international incident by announcing that Blake is planning a military attack on another world power involved in the China Seas oil deal.

Blake vende sus propiedades e hipoteca la mansión para reunir el dinero que necesita.
