Sunlight Center for Change (SCC) is an outpatient assessment and treatment center for clinical and court-related populations. Treatment services include individual and group therapy. The position provides a plethora of opportunities for diverse clinical experiences including individual and group therapy with different populations. We take a multidisciplinary approach to treatment and collaborate well together as a team. We also provide a teaching environment to students.

SCC has a number of providers & is flexible in terms of hours, however our scheduled times are mainly based on need of the agency/clients.

Knowledge and Skills

Activities are governed through a professional code of ethics and rules of confidentiality. A thorough knowledge in the areas of family functioning as mentioned in the Description of Position is expected. Effective skills should be demonstrated in dealing with families involved in abuse and neglect situations as well as those involved in child development issues.

Psychologist, Masters-Level Clinician - Court-related & Therapeutic Supervised Cases

Position requires flexible hours and is a contracted position on an as needed basis.There is opportunity for growth and a need for up to full time.

This position works with both clinical and court-involved cases. Therapeutic supervision involves court-ordered treatment and/or reunification for families involved in the legal system. Familiarity with the court-system or working with high-conflict families a plus. Supervisor must adhere to strict guidelines as set forth by the program policies and court guidelines.

Training is provided.

Human Resources Requirements:

· Licensed psychologist or master's level clinician or post-graduate and eligible for post-graduate clinical work in accordance with an accredited program and the State of Arizona

· All Staff must submit to and pass a background check

· All Staff must have an active Fingerprint Clearance card

Population:

SCC serves patients of all ages, genders, races, and sexual orientations using CBT, CPT, DBT, mindfulness-based, love and logic interventions, and behavioral approaches. Areas of expertise of the practice include forensics, SV/TSV, trauma-certified, psychological evaluations, ADHD/ED/LD evaluations, bariatric evaluations, health related concerns, at-risk teens, psychosexual evaluations, sexual concerns, child and family interventions, fitness-for-duty evaluations, and competency evaluations. Areas of interest and expertise for the Clinician may be considered if they are complimentary to the services already provided at SCC. Clinicians must have flexibility to work with different populations and in different treatment modalities.

Evidence-Based Services:

Clinicians must have interest and training in working with different evidence-based practices depending on patients’ needs. If gaps in knowledge exist, Clinicians must have flexibility to learn new evidence-based practices and other techniques, assessments, or tools that are appropriate for the case or to obtain appropriate training necessary to proceed with a case if possible.

Supervised Visitation Facilitator

Position requires flexible hours and is a contracted position on an as needed basis.

This position supervises families involved in the court-system with having court-ordered visits. Familiarity with the court-system or working with high-conflict families a plus. Supervisor must adhere to strict guidelines as set forth by the program policies and court guidelines.

Training is provided.

Contracted duties include but are not limited to:

I. Direct-Line Services

A. Provide visits which may include hands-on assistance and education (multiple times per week) to the family in an effort to meet goals. Inform parents if they are to provide supplies, snacks, or meals.

B. Be available for flexible scheduling any day of the week.

C. Writing court reports, and if required, court appearances.

D. Participate in ongoing assessment and evaluation of the family’s goals.

E. Provide written and verbal feedback to clients regarding their conduct and progress in the visits.

F. Monitor and provide a safe visitation environment for children and terminate the visit if it is not deemed appropriate or parties involved have improper conduct. Clearly define the rules of visitation with all parties involved.

II. Team/Supervision Meetings

A. Participate in weekly staff meetings.

III. Other duties as needed

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent with related college courses and relevant experience.

Must hold a valid Arizona Driver’s License and be able to transport children.

Ability to receive and maintain fingerprint clearance card.

Bilingual preferred.

Pass extensive background check.

Familiarity with the child welfare system.
