Pastoral Council

Leading St. Mary's Community through Christ's Call to Service

Through the leadership of the Diocese of Gary, St. Mary's has developed and refined many of the processes and functions of the church community. We have in place a pastoral council which serves as a sounding board for our pastor, Fr. Tom Tibbs. While all decisions ultimately lie in his hands, this council conducts surveys, and researches issues which are then presented at the monthly Pastoral Council meetings. Council meetings are regularly scheduled and open to all parishioners.

Individual church commissions have been developed in all major areas to assist the officers of the Pastoral Council.

The Pastoral Council is composed of :

Chairman: Pete Wood

Vice-Chairman: Deb Dubovich

Member at Large: Paul Shook

St. Mary's Mission:

The members of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church of Kouts, Indiana, called to continue the mission of Jesus Christ by Word and Sacraments striving to be instruments of God's love, truth, peace and justice, invite all to become a part of this growing faith-filled community and be refreshed, healed and fed at His Eucharistic meal.
