Pastoral Commissions
Together We Share the Responsibilities of Christ's Call
In answer to the call to serve our Church and each other, St. Mary's Church, through the leadership of the Diocese of Gary, has formed five parish councils which provide leadership and guidance on specific church areas to the Parish Council and Pastor, Fr. Tom Tibbs. These commissions are facilitated by Jim Knopf, Deacon.
St. Mary's Mission:
The members of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church of Kouts, Indiana, called to continue the mission of Jesus Christ by Word and Sacraments striving to be instruments of God's love, truth, peace and justice, invite all to become a part of this growing faith-filled community and be refreshed, healed and fed at His Eucharistic meal.
