Following the St. John the Baptist Church 2024 Appeal, we are pleased to announce that we received a total of £3040 in donations. We are very grateful to all who donated, as this has gone a long way to covering our £5000 deficit. We can of course make this 25% more by Gift Aid, so if you are a tax payer and have not completed a Gift Aid donation form, please consider downloading and completing from this link here
Or if you would like, please call our warden Andrew on 07751680873, and we will sort one out for you. Once again, our grateful thanks to you all.
Many people do not realise how costly it is to run St. John the Baptist Church. Our current annual expenditure is around £19,000, with an income solely from our small congregation of around £14,000. The consequences of this annual deficit means that our reserves will be depleted in around 5 or 6 years, and we would not be able to stay open.
We know that our church is very important to the community as Baptisms, Weddings, Funerals, Christmas Services, School Services and the Community Choir are very popular.
We would ask that you help us financially in any way that you can either by a donation, a regular standing order, or a legacy in a will, or even some fundraising.
Our Bank Account details are;

We can also claim the tax back on your donation if you let us know that you are a tax payer - a form will be given to fill out.
All amounts are most graciously and thankfully received.
