See it before you build it.
I can create high quality images of buildings composites into their future locations. Beautiful lighting and little details can make a proposed building come alive.
On the Amfi mall project showing the engineering was the important thing to Skanska so that's where I focused my time.
I worked my way thorough graduate school as a drafter at the University's Physical Plant, so I am very comfortable working with blue prints.
Real Time rendering with the Unreal game engine
Real time rendering is finally reaching its promise these screen grabs with full lighting and shadows, the kitchen I built years ago and it took minutes to render in mental ray , here it is looking just as good but with no render time.
Maya, Photoshop, Unreal
Real time screen grabs from unreal, a building I designed up for a non square empty lot across from my apartment in the Netherlands.
Once again these are screen grabs from Unreal, I love that first day of spring when the car comes out of hibernation. The house and the garage and cars are configured from other projects, the background I photographed in Jotunheim and the calendar is from my fathers trip to Norway in 1953.
First day of Architectural Drafting class fall of 1986, the teacher Mr. Monroe said we would be graded down if our lines ran through the corners or if they didn't join up, we were terrified, but in two weeks we were meeting the standard. I took four courses with him. I have managed to dig up an elevation from spring of ‘88.
The eight story isometric tower drawing must have been done in the early 90s on my big drafting table which I also engineered and built. I now prototype my furniture in Autodesk Maya. During graduate school at Rochester Institute of Technology, for a year I worked 20 hours a week as a drafter at the Physical Plant updating the blueprints, as doors and walls were being moved, but I have no samples from that job. The four story “Galileo Mall” design is from a project for the National Academy of Sciences where I built science learning games in each of the stores of the mall.
I have been repurposing old assets to skill up on Substance Painter and the UnReal game engine.
The real time screen grab of the domed build, I designed the building for a irregular empty lot, across the canal from my apartment in the Netherlands, which I had taken a HDRi panorama for the location. The screen grabs of the kitchen are of my kitchen here in Steinkjer Norway. I measured the house my first weekend and started to plan in Maya, so I used that too, for learning UnReal, plus the two screen grabs of the house and garage are also repurposed from another project as well. I hope you like what you see.
