- Assignment:
- Manage a consultancy that assists Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises (SMME’s) and Non-governmental Organizations (NGO’s) to become more efficient and effective and thereby contributing to the development of Namaqualand.
- Some deliverables:
- Strategic Business Plan for the seven employees of Transhex Transport Department to enable them to privatize the Transport Department and turn it into a transport company employing 26 people with an annual turnover of R 12 million.
- Strategic Business Plan to transform the unprofitable Swartkoppies community owned guesthouse into a profitable pleasure resort with conference facilities by optimizing and strengthening under-utilized facilities and existing market trends.
- Facilitated for the Namaqualand Diamond Fund Trust a process to approve bursaries for students to the value of 6,3 million rand.
- Facilitated in 2003 the annual planning of the Namaqualand Association for Preschool Education that had 36 schools affiliated to it.
- Technical Advisor to the Financial and Auditing Committee of the Gariep Diamond Mining (Pty) Ltd that investigated shortcomings in the financial administration and direction of the company and that made relevant recommendations to its board in 2002.
- Conservation Awareness Raising Plan for the Bushmanland Inselbergs Geographic Priority Area. Project sponsor was the Conservation Ecosystems Partnership Fund (CEPF).
