The Company Commander is responsible to the SNSI/NSI for the performance of the Cadet Corps. The Company Commander’s duties include, but are not limited to those listed below.
Schedule and conduct all meetings of key staff members.
Maintain with the Operations officer a schedule of events assign specific responsibilities for the preparation of each event.
Monitor the performance of assigned officers.
Coordinate through the SNSI / NSI to ensure support required to get the job done is available.
Represent the Sterling’s Navy NJROTC Unit at school and community ceremonies and other functions.
Ensure that all military formations, ceremonies and routines are planned and carried out in proper fashion.
Promote the NJROTC program.
Oversee and ensure that all departments are operating according to all SOP’s
Carry out all directives of the SNSI and NSI as required.
Company XO

Executive Officer: (LT) Under the direction of the Company Commander, assist in the execution of the Company Commander’s duties, and be prepared to act for the Company Commander at any time.
Conduct follow-up at the department head level to ensure the actions and policies directed by the Commanding Officer are carried out.
Serve as the unit’s primary communicator to ensure that all hands remain fully informed on policies, procedures and schedules.
Chair all staff meetings with all Department Heads and assigned officers.
Represent the Sterling’s Navy Junior ROTC Unit at school and community functions as directed by the Commanding Officer or SNSI/NSI.
Chair all DRB’s as needed.
Company
Master Chief Petty Officer Delmaro King
Master Chief Petty Officer of the Command: Under the direction of the Company Commander and as the senior petty officer of the Company, perform the functions listed below and others as assigned.
Take part in staff meetings to represent the views of the cadet rank and file to the staff.
Determine cadet concerns and make these known to the staff at the appropriate time.
Carry out such other duties as may be assigned by the SNSI/NSI/CO/XO.
Operations Officer

Operations Officer: (LTJG) Under the direction of the Company Commander, as head of the Operations Department, the Operations Officer is responsible for the tasks listed below and others as assigned.
Coordinate all NJROTC events such as:
Field trips
Company social events
Platoon and Company drill
School, civic and other activities in which there is NJROTC participation
Annual Inspection
Veterans Day and other patriotic or civic programs.
Coordinate activities and requirements of the special team commanders (Drill Team, Color Guard, etc.)
Coordinate the assignment of cadets to assist in school or community functions when cleared through the SNSI/NSI.
Provide technical guidance, direction, and training for Platoon Commanders.
Perform such additional duties as may be assigned by the Commanding or Executive officers.
In the Ops Officer’s absence, the assistant Ops Officer’s has full responsibility of all Ops duties, OPS officer will resume responsibility upon his/her return.
Marksmanship Team Commander

Marksmanship Officer - Under the direction of the Range Officer, as head of the Air Rifle Department, the Air Rifle Officer is responsible for the tasks listed below and others as assigned.
Coordinate all NJROTC Marksmanship activities and events such as:
· Operate as the assistant range officer
· Be familiar with all Instructions, Policies and S.O.P.’s related to the Air Rifle Program.
· Maintain all required paperwork and records related to the marksmanship program.
· Enforce all safety procedures at all times.
· Maintain accurate attendance records.
· Maintain an accurate equipment inventory.
· Manage the equipment maintenance program.
· Maintain and accurate equipment and parts ordering list.
· Perform other duties or responsibilities assigned by the SNSI, NSI.
Unit Training Officer

Training Officer: In conjunction with the SNSI and NSI and Command Staff, develop the long and short-range training plans for the Unit. At a minimum, the long-range training plan should include the following:
NJROTC Core Values; Naval courtesies and customs; drill, ceremonies, and inspections; physical training; wearing of the uniform; leadership forums; and general military knowledge to include chain of command, general orders, and leadership traits.
• Ensure the effectiveness of Company training in all aspects.
• Along with the Academic Petty Officer ensure the effective training of the Unit Academic Competition Teams.
• Ensure the effectiveness of the Unit SAT training program.
• Ensure the effectiveness of the Unit ASVAP training program.
• Monitor the Platoon Training Program.
• Debrief the Platoon officers on a monthly basis.
• Resolve and de-conflict training issues, when necessary.
• If necessary, formulate or revise the Long and Short Range Training Plans.
• Ensure the Platoons adhere to the Annual Training Plan.
• Maintain a turnover binder with pertinent information on how to best perform duties.
• Initiate a thorough turnover at the completion of the School year.
• Perform other duties or responsibilities assigned by the SNSI, NSI, CO, XO.

Supply Officer

Supply Officer: Under the direction of the Company Commander and the Military Property Custodian (SNSI / NSI), the Supply Officer is responsible for the requisitioning, receiving, issuing, accounting, stowage and security of all items of clothing, text books, training aids, and other material placed in the NJROTC storeroom.
Coordinate the issue, exchange and turn-in of uniform items under the supervision of the SNSI/NSI.
Maintain accurate records to reflect uniform items received, on hand, and issued.
Direct and supervise assigned clerks to ensure every cadet has a complete, well fitted uniform.
Supervise performance of assigned clerks.
Ensure that the supply storeroom is kept clean and neat at all times.
In conjunction with the DECK WEAPONS CPO and the PLATOON COMMANDERS, ensure that all equipment is properly accounted for.
Inform the NSI of items which need to be ordered because of high usage and/or short supply.
Ensure that an accurate wall-to-wall inventory is conducted when required by the NSI.
Establish a supply watch bill to ensure that a qualified supply department cadet is available to handle routine supply responsibilities and for minor issue and return before and after school as directed.

Administration Officer

Administration Officer: Under the direction of the Company Commander and as head of the Administration Department, provide administrative services for the staff and Unit by insuring that the activities listed below are carried out.
Collect information for, publish and distribute a Plan of the Week (POW) and a monthly planning calendar. The POW must be printed out on WEDNESDAY to be handed out on THURSDAY for the following week.
Maintain records of all staff meetings in a single permanent record.
Oversee the performance of the POW Petty Officer, Awards Petty Officer, Advancement Petty Officer and CDMIS Petty officer.
Coordinate communications between other departments and platoon leaders as necessary to ensure cadet and unit records are up to date and accurate.
Coordinate all promotion, awards, and discipline review boards as directed.
Ensure that all cadet records are kept up to date.
Ensure that all required CDMIS entries are done in a timely manner.
Plan and carry out all community service along with the operations officer.
· Plan and carry out all unit events along with the operations officer.
· Plan and carry out the Navy Knights Winter Ball, and any other formal events which may occur in the future along with the operations officer.
· Operate the unit News Letter.
· Prepare news releases for distribution as needed.
· Coordinates the photography efforts for all unit events, activities, and extracurricular events.
· Maintain the unit Chain of Command photo board.
· Plan and organize all fund raisers along with the unit booster club.

Deck Weapons leading Chief Petty Officer : (CPO) Under the direction of the Company Commander, as head of Deck Weapons Department, the Deck Weapons CPO is responsible for the tasks listed below and others as assigned.
Maintain an accurate count for all ceremonial rifles on a daily basis.
Ensure Rifle rack is locked at all times unless rifles are being cleaned, serviced, or issued for ceremonies or practice (key is maintained by SNSI and NSI).
Ensure Sword cabinet is locked at all times unless swords are being issued to cadets for ceremonies or practice (key is maintained by NSI).
Ensure that all rifles are kept in a clean and serviceable state.
Ensure Flags and harnesses are kept in a clean and serviceable state.
Report any equipment malfunctions for Rifles, swords, flags, and harnesses to the Chain of Command immediately upon discovery
Work with the supply officer to maintain gear inventories.

Master-At-Arms: (MAA) Under the direction of the Master Chief Petty Officer of the Command, perform the functions listed below and others as assigned:
Assist in the maintaining of good order and discipline as directed by the SNSI / NSI and command staff.
Responsible for the merit/demerit log and reports.
Writes first draft of achievement letters to parents and guardians.
Organizes ORM briefings for unit events, field trips, and other events as directed.
