For "Team B" standard swimmers & those less confident. All swimmers must be able to swim one width; with or without swimming aids. Swim teachers are allowed in the pool to assist. All races start in the water (no diving) & all the team challenges are in the shallow end of the pool.

Disability Eligibility:

All abilities welcome. We have a bonus points system that gives extra points towards the more physically impaired swimmers.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON ARRIVAL

1. Please park at Holland sports ground.

2. Sign in at the main reception upon arrival.

3. Please then proceed to the sports hall.

4. If you arrive early, please wait with your vehicles.

5. You will be welcomed by Matt Crowhurst (Head of PE) or James Tinney from Panathlon.

About Moor House pool & changing facilities: We do not have a hoist, nor a changing bed, so please bear this in mind in selecting students to participate. The depth of the pool is 0.9 to 1.8m. As this is the first occasion that this event has run at Moor House School, we can realistically invite 6 teams (in addition to Moor House students participating). Please remember to register as we will not be able to accommodate any school groups that arrive unannounced on the day. Changing could be an issue, due to space limitations in changing rooms, so if it’s possible for students to have their swim wear on under their clothes, this would greatly help. In addition, if there are schools who live more locally and are happy to stay on for a “fun swim” this will help with negotiating the changing situation.

There will be medals and certificates, plus a trophy for the winning team, with the opportunity to attend the Panathlon swimming finals in the summer 2019.
