The doubles competition follows a 'round-robin' format where all schools play each other.

Matches are timed, lasting approximately 8 minutes.

(This may reduced if the competition falls behind schedule).

Normal doubles rules apply, the team in the lead after the time period wins.

If the scores are level a deciding 'sudden death' point is played.

  • Schools should bring squads of at 8 - 12 competitors who will play doubles (and singles if time permits).
  • If you wish to bring a smaller group, please let me know - we may still be able to accommodate you.
  • The competition is structured in a round-robin format so that all schools play each other and there is lots of playing time for pupils.
  • Please ensure that you have sufficient staff so that you are able to have one person available to help officiate.
  • (Rules are basic and guidance will be given!)

Schools that do not have sufficient numbers may make up a composite team with another school.

This should be arranged before hand if possible.

If time permits a singles competition will also take place.
