How we use your information

To register and submit an abstract for the Scottish Student Forensic Research Symposium 2019 we require some of your personal data.

For registration, the personal data you provide will be used for preparing symposium packets (i.e. name tags) and catering for the event.

For abstract submission, the personal data you provide will be used for printed and online symposium materials, including the symposium schedule and booklet, and to contact you regarding the outcome of your abstract submission.

The University will keep your personal data for 1 year. It will then be anonymised and retained for planning purposes.

Personal data

For registration, the personal data required for the Scottish Student Forensic Research Symposium 2019 is your name, institution, and email an optional telephone number.

For abstract submission, the personal data required for the Scottish Student Forensic Research Symposium 2019 is your name, institution, email, and presenting author biography with an optional telephone number and presenting author photo.

Sensitive (special categories) of personal data

The sensitive personal data required for registering for the Scottish Student Forensic Research Symposium 2019 is dietary requirements. No sensitive personal data is required for submitting an abstract for the Scottish Student Forensic Research Symposium 2019.

Data controller

The data controller for your personal information is the University of Dundee. Your data may be processed by the University’s nominated agents such as software or service providers.

Providers used for the purpose are: Gmail and Google Drive.
