Anastacia Tolbert’s work is a trellis of twilight, ultramarine ache and lowercase loam. She is a Cave Canem Fellow, Hedgebrook Alum, VONA Alum, and Edge Professional Writer Graduate. Tolbert is a creative writing workshop facilitator, documentarian, and playwright. She writes about topics that make people uncomfortable. Her focus is often woman-centered and covers topics from trauma to tricycles. Her poetry, fiction, and nonfiction has been published widely. Daemond Arrindell is a poet, performer, and teaching artist. Curator and producer of the longest running weekly show in Seattle—the Seattle Poetry Slam. Eight-time coach of the renowned Seattle National Poetry Slam Team. Writer-in-Residence through Seattle Arts & Lectures’ Writers in the Schools Program. In 2012 he taught Seattle University’s first course in slam poetry. Daemond has performed across the country, and has been repeatedly commissioned by both Seattle and Bellevue Arts Museums. Recently he was selected for “13 for ‘13,” a joint project between the Seattle Times and KUOW profiling thirteen influential people in Seattle’s art scene.
