HOOPGIRLS - All Girls Basketball Program:

General Info:

• Founder, Director and Lead Coach: Cathy Townsend, hoopgirlsdc@gmail.com

• Program is recreation focused: development of skills of the game, plus game competition practice, including leadership skills and teamwork. 

• Winter League begins in December and finishes end of February. Winter League includes teams for each of the following grades:  3/4th combined, 5th, 6th, and 7/8th combined. Volunteer coaches assigned for each grade division team. 

• Spring, Summer and Fall Clinics offered.

2026 Spring Clinic - Registration Open

Clinics are focused on skills development, including fun games and informal games.

• Three Sessions Offered: Tuesdays in March, April and May ($60 per session or $150 for all three)

  • Session 1:  March 17, 24, 31

  • Session 2: April 14, 21, 28

  • Session 3: May 5, 12, 19

• Location:  Gallaudet University, Kendall Elementary School Gym

• Time:  6:30 PM to 8:00 PM
