Lesson Information & Policies

Private lessons available on French Horn,  Alphorn or Tenor Horn.

Makeup Lesson Policy:

I do not offer makeup lessons.  If you are unable to attend a scheduled lesson, you may choose one of the following options:

1- Attend Virtually (Zoom, FaceTime, FB Messenger Video, etc)

2-   Switch lesson times with another student. You may either switch for another day, or ask a student before or after you to take an hour lesson one week and you the next.

3- Recorded lesson:  I will send you videos of your lesson content to "attend" at your convenience.  Some video content may be pre-recorded.

Expectations:

Students are expected to come to each lesson on time and warmed up. Other expectations include adequate preparation (30 minute personal practice per day recommended), bringing all applicable materials to each lesson,  curriculum advancement and performance participation.

In Lesson:

I do not have a policy regarding guest attendance during a lesson. I encourage students and parents to decide whether a parents’ presence during a lesson would be productive or not. This will depend largely on the student’s personality.

Although I hold a strict policy against answering my own phone during lesson times, I do answer my cell phone in between lessons. Because it is your lesson time, you may use your phone during your lesson if you choose.

Materials:

Students are expected to provide their own instrument, cleaning supplies, and music.
