SONA SYSTEMS IMPORTANT INFO

Spring 2024

LAST FOR FOR SONA Participation is April 24th! (see below for summary due dates - Nov. 17th)

Important Procedures:

1)   Go to www.psyc.unt.edu; click on undergrad program; then click on undergrad research; Read the DOC/PDF files labeled “research participation pool policies” as they will give you exact and detailed information for using Sona systems and proper writing of research summaries 

2)   When in Sona systems (http://unt.sona-systems.com):

a.   Create An Account (the instructions are provided)

b.   ONLY sign up for the classes you are enrolled for; if you fail to sign up for the correct class your points will not be assigned to you

c.   If your class is not currently on Sona systems DO NOT sign up for another class.  Contact your instructor and let them know they are not on the system then they will contact the Sona rep for the class to be placed on the website.

3)   Contact the Sona systems rep @ untsonarep@yahoo.com ONLY after you have followed all other procedures.  When contacting the representative you MUST provide all relevant information to your problem (i.e., class number & section, your ID number, at times your SONA account info w/password and your exact issue).  If you do not provide your information, the representative cannot help you. 

If you write summaries in lieu of research participation, these are important dates to remember:

April 5th, 2023 – Research summaries due if you want the opportunity to revise your articles if needed (as determined by the sona representative).  Send to untsonarep@yahoo.com

April 19th, 2023 – ALL research summaries due to untsonarep@yahoo.com.  NO CREDIT  will be given beyond this point…NO EXCEPTIONS so plan ahead!
