Continued Breath, video installation, Leipzig, Germany, 2001

Video installation with one projector and one video player on a motor, turning around from the ceiling, 3 spotlights and a motion sensor flood light

Continued Breath plays with the awareness of the viewer's movements in the work. The moving images in the video depends on the viewers movements in the exhibition space. Just as a hunter stalks animal, if they are not careful with their movements the animal will be away immediately.

The installation in a dark room comprises of one projector and one video player on a motor, turning around from the ceiling, 3 spotlights and a motion sensor flood light.Whenever something is moving, we cannot clearly see the image from the projector, because the spotlights linked with "motion sensor flood light" are automatically turned on for 10 seconds when something is moving in its sensor area.

When we stop moving to look and to hear something around us, we are bound to meet something that we won't ever see when in active motion.
