This past Monday we played a great 8v8 game. Get the word out to your friends. Hope to see everyone back next week and hopefully a few more new players.
Having too many players has never been a problem in the past. If we do run into this problem, running the games using substitutes waiting on the sidelines is really not favored by our group. Instead, one of two options are recommended.
First, we can split into two small sided games run on half the field. After 30 minutes, we can call the games and the winners from each can play each other.
Second option is to play a round-robin format with three teams. On team is on the sidelines. For this reason, the games should run for 10 to 15 minutes only. For the first round, the winner stays on and plays the sidelined team. After that first round, no team stays on for more than two games in a row. So, even if you win two games in a row, you should come off after your second consecutive game.
