The Hills, Basking Ridge

There is a pickup game on a field in the Hills development in Basking Ridge. The field is adjacent to the Mount Prospect Elementary School. We park in the schools lot.

Saturdays from 10 AM to 12 noon.

Note from Dom:

We play from mid April (March this year) until the weather allows (usually sometimes between late November and early December) on Saturday from 10.00 am.

General rules are:

1. By far the most important - we all need to go to work the next day and at our age recovery from injuries is longer than we want, so let's play clean and easy.

2. We play for fun: if you get pissed when somebody doesn't do what you want / think he should, probably this isn't your group; we try our best whatever that is.

3. Bring a solid red AND a solid white jersey so 2 teams can always easily be made. Avoid jerseys with mixed colors specially if red and white… it would confuse other players.

4. When the main filed will be too crowded the last players arrived on the field will start another game on the side using the Puggs goals.

5. Don't be too late if you can.

I usually send an e-mail to confirm the scrimmage on Thursday morning for the afternoon and on Friday morning for Saturday morning especially if the weather is uncertain. Confirmation message might also come from some other member of our group. If need be you can always contact me at my cell. or via email (see below).

From route 78 West and East exit 33

From route 78 West at the light turn right on Martinsville (left if coming from route 78 East), turn left on Allen Road at the third light (fourth if coming from route 78 East). Keep going on Allen Road, after a couple of mile you'll be entering into a development called The Hills. You go uphill first, when you are already downhill make a left on Hansom Road, you'll notice Mount Prospect elementary school on your left, the second left is the entrance to the parking lot from where you can see the field.

From route 287 North exit 22A - from route 287 South exit 22

From route 287 North on route 202/206 make the first U turn and then turn right (left if coming from route 287 South) at the first light on Schley Mont Road after 1/4 of a mile turn right uphill right before reaching route 287 North. Go uphill on Allen Road for a couple of miles and make a right on Hansom Road, you'll notice Mount Prospect elementary school on your left, the second left is the entrance to the parking lot from where you can see the field.
