Ben Snipes: Northwest Cattle King, by Roscoe Sheller, Binford & Mort Publishing, Portland OR, 1957, 224 pages, softbound, $14.00 postpaid. This is the fascinating story of a penniless youth who worked his way across half a continent to become the "king" of all Northwest cattlemen. Follow Ben as he drove cattle 800 miles to British Columbia from the Yakima Valley in Washington. The author's daughter, Dorothy Churchill, though not a Snipes descendant is SFA 453 provides these books to us at cost for our benefit.
