Southern Christian Advocate Marriage Notices
1867-1878
The Southern Christian Advocate was the official publication for the
Methodist Conferences in the states of South Carolina, Georgia, and
Florida. Many marriage notices were included in the publication of this periodical. Similar to the obituary notices of the publication, this
database contains only marriage notices between 1867 to 1878. Information from each notice often includes location of marriage, the reverend performing the ceremony, and attending witnesses. Persons wishing copies of a particular notice can contact the South Carolinians Library, USC, Columbia, SC 29208.
