The North Carolina Genealogical Society has research cassette tapes that they are selling. If you are unable to travel to the County Courthouses or the N.C. Archives, this is a good way to further your research. Tapes are done by well known genealogy speakers and book writers of North Carolina.
To order any of the above tapes, send your name, address, and payment ($5.00 per tape, plus $1.00 postage per tape). NC residents please include 6% sales tax, to:

For those of you that had ancestors who fought in the North Carolina Troops, there is a wonderful book that many folks are not aware of, it has pictures and the history of many of our Tar Heel men. More volumes will be published later as the writer obtains more histories and pictures.

If they have any record in book form they will copy it for 20 cents a copy, minimum fee of $1.00. The State library has books , the archives has records, will only do one name at a time.
